How to close a Shop

Step 1: Make sure the customer making the request is the shop owner. The email address and name should match what is in the Store Admin section of the Shop Information. 

Step 2: Close the Shop

  • Go to Configuration -> Settings -> General and Miscellaneous Settings
  • Find the Shop name in the drop-down list. 
  • Check off the Store Closed: box and the box next to it 
  • Click save

Step 3: Inform the customer that the shop is now closed. 

  • The shop can be reopened at any time by un-checking the boxes and hitting save. If the customer wishes to open the shop again in the future, they don't need to start fresh. 

*Note*  Sometimes you will get an error screen. Just click back and refresh the page to see if the settings were saved.
